Good morning everybody!
I know that you haven´t heard from me in over a week and that I just cancelled out the last blog. Honest apologies for that. I enjoyed christmas with my host family and didn´t want to write the blog. However, you are getting the blog now and I´ll fill you in:)
So, the week before christmas, I had holidays, because I had already done all my Christmas exams. Didn´t say no to that. The rest of the kids still had to go to school, so my German hostsister and I were home alone with our hostmom. I used the time as good as possible and got the final preparations done. One of my biggest achievements was, that I really cleaned our bathroom. Man, that thing shone afterwards and so did my smile. I don´t know what it is, but I do like cleaning. It´s just brilliant, most of the times. Apart from that I did the usual bits and pieces with all the cleaning, working out, reading, spending time with my host family, and so on. Appreciating every moment.
Nonetheless, some “events” took place, that are worth writing about. Firstly, I walked up to the tower from the house. I´ve already walked there with my family and gone on my bike a handful of times and it´s always mind-blowing. I think people can barely imagine the joy I have when I go for those walks and how happy I can be. In the same way, it´s hard to describe it. I´m just delighted whenever I go and I have to say, I´m generally happy the last few weeks! So, my smile was big up by the tower. When I was walking back, it got extremely windy and without even joking and in a very serious matter, the wind was so strong, that I, me Emma! , got pushed back and had a hard time not to get blown away. Luckily, the wind calmed down again and I got back safe.
I also went out to Navan this week. I had to make some last christmas purchases, so I went out. IT was nice to go out wandering along the streets and finally getting to see some more bits of Navan. Usually, I never go there by myself, and with other people, we don´t go any further than the shopping center. That day, I could have a look at small shops and just the town itself. My shopping was very successful as well and besides the presents I got, I bought myself a Christmas outfit. I think it looks nice and I feel comfortable in it. That´s all that matters. (We´ll ignore the amount of money I spent that day)
Another good thing, I did this week, I finally finished my drawing. I don´t know if I told you but we had another drawing competition, where we had to draw a tractor, but it was so late at night that I never go to finish it. Now it is finished and it´s actually okay. It´s not good or anything but at least you can see what it is supposed to be :)
Likewise, I caught up with the schoolwork from Austria. I´m super glad that it works so well. A huge shoutout to Nina and Lena, who always send me the stuff over and help me through. It wouldn´t be possible without them. The only thing I´m not up to date, from the subjects I study with them, is Maths. I have to have a look over that again, but I´m sure it will be fine. Sticking with the topic of school, I did a huge phone call, with my whole class. I was looking forward to that all week and to finally see them again, was just amazing. They are all such nice and lovely girls and I´m so thankful, to be in a class with them. Every single one of them is terrific and absolutely gorgeous!
I think, that´s a good way, to end the blog and I will do so now. I´ll upload a separate blog for the christmas days and then for the rest of the holidays. I hope yous had a good week and have nice holidays now With all the love Emma<3
