After the camp in the north of Ireland, we drove to Cavan by bus, where I got picked up from my hostfamily. It was great and we got on very well from the very first second. I´ve already had met my german hostsister in the welcome-camp and we also get on great. From Cavan we drove to our house near Kells by car. I really have to get used to them driving on the other side. It just feels weird and wrong. But I think I will adapt to that quickly. Our house is huge and I´m absolutely loving it. My hostfamily has so many toys, it´s better than going in to a “toys Rus”. They even rented a bouncy castle for the weekend, and I mean, what do you want more. It´s every child´s dream, just terrific! We also have so much to talk about. I´m just really thankful to have my hostfamily and super glad to be here. I´ve already unpacked my stuff and have given the room my personal touch. I´m starting to settle and I´m enjoying that. I´m absolutely delighted to be here!
They´ve also already taken me to a Gaelic football pitch, and I could watch my host siblings play. Just the sound of clicking soccer shoes sounds like heaven to me. I like it a lot. I think I will definitely try to play it myself. It can´t go that wrong, can it?I also already tried tea with milk and other stuff. The tea was okay and I will try it every week, maybe I will love it at the end of the year. Let´s see. I´m trying out lots of new stuff and everything is new in general. I guess, that´s what makes it all so exciting. So we´ll see how everything will be like when I´m completely settled.
For the weekend we have a lot of birthday parties planed and afterwards I will start school. I´m already looking forward to that :)
Hope you have a good time at home too and you are doing fine
